Privacy policy
The short version: we collect almost nothing, we sell nothing, and you can leave anytime. The slightly longer version is below.

What we collect
You can choose to give us your email address, if you type it into the subscribe form, and a name, if you put one into the leaderboard box at the end of the game (see below). The game also sends the coaching summary described below. We don't ask for your phone number or anything else. Reading the site and playing the game need no account.
The game leaderboard
If you put your name in at the end of a run, we keep it with your game results from then on: score, rank, how far you got, the money made in the game, which country version you played, how long the run took and your best job. A random code stored on your device lets later runs count without typing your name again. The game shows your first name and last initial on the week's board, and the weekly results post in our Skool community tags you by name. Tap “Take me off” under the board and every run from that device stops counting, or email us and we will delete it.
The game coach
At the end of a run, when online, the game sends a summary of that run (numbers and choices, no player name) and a random device code to our server. The code limits daily requests; it is separate from your leaderboard code. Our server asks Anthropic, an AI service, to write three coaching lines from the summary. If unavailable, the game shows built-in tips. Nothing is kept for advertising.
The iPhone app
The app collects nothing beyond the game data described above: no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your leaderboard name is optional. “Take me off” removes you from the board. Reporting a name hides that player on your device; players reported from three different IP addresses are hidden from the public board until reviewed and cleared.
Why we collect it
To send you the newsletter you signed up for. We also use game results for the optional board and coaching described above. We don't sell your email, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. It goes to the email service that delivers the newsletter and nowhere else.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Click it and you're out - no “are you sure” gauntlet, no winback sequence. You can also email us at hello@constructionarbitrage.com and ask us to delete your address, and we will.
Cookies and analytics
Right now the site runs with no advertising cookies and no tracking pixels. We may add privacy-respecting analytics in the future to see which guides people actually find useful - if that ever involves cookies that identify you, we'll update this page and say so plainly.
Hosting and server logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and performance. We don't use those logs to identify or profile you.
International readers
This site is written for a worldwide English-speaking audience and operated in English, with US-default conventions. Wherever you are, the deal is the same: email in, newsletter out, unsubscribe whenever you want, deletion on request.
